There is almost nothing that can
kill a relationship quicker than jealousy. Jealousy can be a big
red flag that shows that a relationship is in serious trouble.
The trick is to nip it in the bud.
The first thing that you need to do is recognize that you or your
partner have become jealous Once you recognize that this problem
exists, you can start to do something about it. Overcoming your
jealous feelings takes many steps.

esteem. Try to take an inventory of the things that you are doing
well in your life and be honest with yourself! You really must be

The better you feel about yourself,
the easier it will be to push aside the feelings of jealousy in
your relationship. As you gradually shift the way you feel about
yourself toward the positive end of the scale, you will begin to
notice that your jealous feelings will slip away.

Another method that people have successfully used is to separate
themselves from there daily dose of the news. Have you noticed how
negative the news can be? This negatively can grow on you like moss.
You cannot control the stuff that
happens in the world. When you are bombarded with negative news,
you start to feel helpless. You need to start to feel positive about
yourself and this can be impossible if you feel that you have no
control over what happens around you.
Avoid negative news and also avoid
negative people. If you can try to surround yourself with positive
people then their positively will start to rub off on you. In time
you will be able to feel more positive about yourself and this,
in turn, will help cut down on your jealous feelings.
Start noticing when you have feelings
of jealousy. Everyone knows that it is possible to change what happens
in your dreams right? You can do the same thing with feelings of
jealousy. Once you notice these feelings coming over you, simply
shift the focus to something more positive. When you start feeling
jealous, think of some of the reasons why you are good.
Forget about trying to get revenge.
When it comes to a relationship, revenge is a dish that is best
not served at all. After all, you already know that it's a bad idea
to burn your bridges.
Finally, find someone that you can
talk to about your feelings of jealousy. Just voicing your feelings
is an act that can allow jealousy to disappear or be reduced in
significance. Keep in mind that the person that you are jealous
of is not the best candidate for this conversation.
